The song ’Miles away’ is the preview single from the upcoming EP, that will be released in may. Even before it’s been released it has been spinning on several radio stations in United States, Canada and Australia.
The band was formed in the fall of –10 and grew out of the front man ’s earlier project ”Joel och lilla kriget” (Joel and the little war) – a band with cult-status in the Stockholm area with music based on pop-balkan-swedish-folkmusic with Swedish lyrics. The band never reached the bigger crowds though, and now aiming on that target – Dear Joe is the English version of the same idea and the music is described as Rootpopindie.
Influences mentioned are amongst other: The National, Johnny Cash, Catpower and The xx. Now touring round Europe, the success seems to be just… a matter of time.
