Hi, it’s time for our weekly update, where we take turns to write something interesting and/or Unwind related. Since our last update the status is a bit, hmm, “quo”. We are preparing a photo shoot but for that to happen we need our SS12 samples from our manufacturer in Portugal who’s a bit delayed for some reason. As Melina wrote in the last post we are doing inventory which is a pain in the ass, but now you know that already.

With the drain of imagination of Unwind related topics to talk about I can talk about myself I am home sick today. To fullfil my day I have been surfing music and fashion throughout the day while listening to 90s gangsta rap music, eating ice cream and reading Slash’s autobiography.  Conclusions are that I’m not afraid to say that I still love Warren G, ice cream is awesome when your sick and heroin is probably a bad thing to get involved with, although it can lead to good poetry writing a song about it (Mr. Brownstone).

Another conclusion I’ve made during the day is the interesting things about “street fashion” and “fashion” when you’re in the clothing/fashion business. We routinely get the question whether we are “street” or “fashion” and sometimes “high fashion” (Is there anything such as “low fashion”?). We always say that we are somewhere in between but I’m starting to think a lot of people really can’t tell if something is “street” or if it’s “fashion”.  Sometimes I’m not so sure whether we are “street” or “fashion”. That almost led me in to my old paranoia of pretentious douche bags, but that’s another chapter. Sorry, back to Unwind: The best thing perhaps is just avoid thinking about it and create something we all like to wear.  The labeling will be subjective anyway. Maybe a quasi discussion, but still my thoughts, in this blog post.
